Due to the popularity of the F-150 SVT Raptor pickup, which is applauded for its ability to run through deserts and crush almost anything in its path, Ford SVT has decided to create a SuperCrew version (with four full-size doors).
Previously, the Raptor had only been offered in SuperCab form (extended car with tiny doors). The SuperCrew version will carry the same suspension and power train and it is expected to go on sale this year for a small price premium over the SuperCab version. In Dearborn, several sightings have been reported of a completely blacked-out Raptor with black cladding on its nose and flanks and a cobbled-up bed cap. No images have been sent in though. We would have wanted you to conclude for yourself if this was the model in question. Ford has recently launched its new 6.2-liter V8 in the Raptor, which has always been part of the plan. But it should be pointed out that the near-term availability of second body configuration is rare for a specialty product. This only leads to the conclusion that the program has been successful. Ford has said that it will not comment on future products.
